About The Author

Subramanya Nagabhushanaradhya (subramanya.ai) is currently a graduate student majoring in Computer Science at UMass Amherst. He is presently advised by Prof. Hao Zhang at the Human Centered Robotics Lab, where his work focuses on the intersection of computer vision and natural language for Robotics. Prior to this, he was advised by Shane Moon and Andrea Madotto of Meta Reality Labs, and Jay-Yoon Lee of IESL, in the areas of multi-modal video understanding with a special focus on ego-centric videos.

Before embarking on his academic journey, he served as the Head of Product Development for RenderPub in India, and also interned at Vertica, gaining valuable industry experience.

After completing his graduate studies, he will be joining dylog.ai, a startup focused on building chatbots for the distribution industry.

The author has leveraged his experiences as an international student at UMass Amherst and his diverse background in academia and industry to compile this handbook, aiming to assist fellow international students in their journey at UMass Amherst.
